HomeSqool
is a secure learning environment
that promotes student collaboration.
HomeSqool is
a virtual learning
environment, built on Moodle open source software. It has
been configured to meet the needs of home school instructors
and
students. HomeSqool
provides several tools that support
student collaboration while maintaining student safety.
Specifically, HomeSqoolprovides
interactive collaborative tools including blogs,
wikis, chat, podcasts, and discussion forums. In addition, instructors
assign specific tools to collaborative groups use the grouping
tools. The instructor maintains full control over all the
settings, including who has access to the virtual home school
classroom, thus student
identity is protected.
HomeSqool doesn't
collect
information from children or allow children to create accounts
on HomeSqool.
Instructors are responsible for creating student
accounts and enrolling students in their classes.
